Facilitators Guide

Getting kids to have fun!

As a facilitator of this program, your role will be to guide, encourage, and support students. You will introduce activity possibilities, maintain a positive play environment, and assist when challenges and conflicts arise. However, whenever possible, the responsibility of decision- making and problem-solving should be placed in the hands of your capable students. This program:

• requires little to no formal training for the facilitator

• is easy to implement

• can be modified to use on any school campus regardless of resources or space

• focuses on getting kids to have fun while they engage in physical activities and sports • reinforces valuable life skills such as working collaboratively, leadership of both self and others, problem-solving, and including and serving others
